There is a sudden urgency to solve the anxiety and the mind refuses to rest until it does. The feeling of needing to act, resolve, or fix something is strong and immediate. This companion recording sits beside you in that urgency, acknowledging what is happening without adding to the pressure to find a solution.

About this recording

The anxiety is here, and almost immediately a second impulse arrives alongside it. The need to do something about it. To find the source, address it, resolve it, make it stop.

The mind shifts quickly from feeling anxious to working on the anxiety, as though fixing it were simply a matter of applying enough effort.

This is one of the most recognisable patterns in anxiety. The urge to fix feels constructive. It feels like the responsible thing to do with an uncomfortable feeling. But the fixing rarely settles anything for long, because the anxiety is not a problem with a solution in the ordinary sense.

What the mind is doing is responding to discomfort with urgency. The urgency then becomes part of the experience, adding its own pressure on top of the original feeling.

This recording was created for the moment when that urgency is running.

It does not offer a way to fix the anxiety or move through it more quickly. Instead, it sits beside the need to resolve something that cannot yet resolve, staying present while the pressure to act is at its loudest.

You do not need to have found a fix before you listen.

You only need to be in this moment as it is.
